S.C. Native Zion Williamson Could Potentially Co-Star In Spike Lee’s “He Got Game” Sequal

New Orleans Pelicans star #ZionWilliamson is already an internationally known basketball star, but soon, he may also be a well-known movie star.

In a recent podcast, Academy Award-winning filmmaker #SpikeLee said he’s interested in producing a sequel to his hit 1998 film ‘He Got Game’ starring Denzel Washington and former NBA player #RayAllen , and he’s interested in Williamson for a lead role.

Talking with ESPN’s Sage Steele, Lee said, “We were trying to get a meeting with him (Zion) before the coronavirus pandemic. Ray Allen and I were trying to get a meeting with him in New Orleans. I’m still for it.” Lee, who wrote and directed “He Got Game,” as well as more than 30 other films, has a strong tie to New Orleans.
